- What Makes These Tortillas Special
- Authentic Sonoran-style flour tortillas — a cherished tradition from northern Mexico

- Soft, pliable, rich in flavor, and beautifully blistered with signature “mahogany spots”
- Stays supple longer — reheats perfectly, beautifully
- Locally made as per order
- Family-owned, small-batch
- These are not your average store-bought flour tortillas. Miranda’s Tortillas are rooted in the centuries-old tradition of Sonoran-style tortillas — soft, chewy, delicately thin, yet strong enough to wrap a hearty burrito without cracking or tearing.
- Made with enriched flour, real butter, and vegetable shortening (no animal fat), they offer a subtle richness and aroma that elevate any meal — from tacos and wraps to a simple butter-tortilla snack.
- What makes them truly special is their texture: tender, pliable, and light, with beautiful mahogany-colored blisters on the surface from being cooked on a hot comal.
- Once heated, they revive beautifully, maintaining their soft bite and rich flavor — warm and irresistible.
- Whether you’re making burritos, quesadillas, tacos, or simply enjoying one hot-off-the-pan with melted butter and a sprinkle of salt — you’ll know immediately: this is what a real flour tortilla tastes like.

About Miranda’s Tortillas
- Miranda’s Tortillas was founded in San Jose in 2022 by Diana Miranda Benitez, originally from Ciudad Obregón in Sonora, Mexico — the birthplace of the flour tortilla tradition. After moving to the U.S., Diana searched everywhere for authentic tortillas like the ones from home but could only find mass-produced versions lacking the flavor, softness, and soul of the Sonoran originals.
- So she brought a real Sonoran tortilla machine to San Jose, perfected the recipe with family-taught methods, and started making tortillas the traditional way — by hand, with skill, heart, and heritage. Today, Diana and her small team craft hundreds of tortillas daily — each one pressed on the comal, blistered to perfection, and made with the same care as in her family’s kitchen back in Sonora.
- These are more than tortillas.
They’re tradition, authenticity, and a little taste of Sonora — made right here in San Jose.
